As in regards to the mixing debate. I've heard Mick and been lucky to be a resident at sugarcubes in its early days. It depends a helluva lot on the soundsystem and monitors - If any monitors at all - and if the MC is to loud and won't stop for a breath. I've heard Mick at 'Cubes with no MC and nothing wrong with his mixing. Not everyone is Carl Cox. At Diz and Uprising Mick had an hour to cram in all these tunes he wanted to share and of course everyone expected the usual anthems chucked in. End of the day it's about the tunes that what gets the buzz and the legacy Mick has left will out shine any dodgy mixing. Trust Me!

Thank you. Been after the name of this for eons! Nearly in tears listening to this right now so many memories! So happy to have had the privilege to have been there at the beginning of hard trance. Mick and mark eg at Sugacubes, all the amazing German imports, the wicked upfront uk hard trance, pleasuredome, uprising, skelter,Dreamscape. Good times.

Ive had the pleasure of DJing along with this man many times... A true gentleman in a cut throat business... Ive shown him a few things as to how we do Hard Trance in Northern Ireland... But hes always came out on top....As for his mixing....Who's listening and who cares.... its always about the music..........

Mick, the mixing can be forgiven, as the tune selections were always spot on.
95-98 were some of my best rave nights listening to real hard trance, at skelter to hardcore heaven and dreamscape. Im still searching many a tune on vinyl, which to this day cannot be identified.

God I know I can be shocking at mixing sometimes. I still believe im human so thanks for letting me off haha... but then again when you had so much great music you want to push in a short time it doesn't always go to plan. My average play time according to mcps who recorded a play list at Helter was 1-2 mins per track 30-55 tracks per hour & faster than the guy could write it down lol.. No excuses though eh haha...!!!
