Review by Angela Swanson

Machines of Loving Grace's album Concentration is a sonic journey through a futuristic dystopian landscape. The album is a blend of electronic, industrial, and rock music that creates a unique and immersive sound. The songs are driven by pulsing beats, distorted guitars, and haunting vocals that convey a sense of urgency and intensity.

The opening track, "Perfect Tan (Bikini Atoll)," sets the tone for the album with its driving rhythm and ominous lyrics. Other standout tracks include "Butterfly Wings," which features a catchy chorus and a soaring guitar solo, and "Golgotha Tenement Blues," which has a slower tempo and a brooding atmosphere.

Throughout the album, Machines of Loving Grace explores themes of technology, isolation, and the human condition. The lyrics are often cryptic and poetic, adding to the overall sense of mystery and intrigue.

Comments

A great album and the band's best. This album captures everything the band excels at, intricate and tuneful electro-industrial beats, hard and precise riffing guitar parts, and clever lyrics that will leave you wanting to replay songs many times over. A must for fans of alternative/industrial music. Also make sure to listen to Golgotha Tenement Blues, which sounds similar to this album's material but was released on The Crow soundtrack.

"I Push My Limits to the Sickening Heights.." Shit, if there were ever a set of song lyrics that best summarize both my lifestyle and personal credo, that, would definitely be it. <3
